Oasis Contributes to ABC’s Extreme Makeover

Manchester, January 2008 – Oasis Sunrooms & Spas of Nashua in conjunction with Bullfrog Spas International helped bring a little more togetherness to a special family on the January 27 episode of ABC’s hit TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Millions of viewers tuned in to the episode, which chronicled the construction of the Voisine family home in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Reynald and Casey Voisine and their four children lost their home at 446 Wentworth during four days of rain that flooded much of southern New Hampshire. Federal Emergency Management Officials told them their home was uninhabitable, and they tore it down and prepared to build a new one only to be rejected for a low-interest Small Business Administration loan. Since the floods, both parents had been working and paying rent for an apartment and a full mortgage on a home that no longer existed on the empty lot next door.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition chose the Voisines to receive a new house that was built in just seven days. Team leader Ty Pennington and designers Michael Moloney, Tanya McQueen, Paul DiMeo and John Littefield led a team of volunteers to give the family a new home complete with a private roof-top deck for their very own hot tub.

Oasis analyzed what would be important to the Voisines and selected the Bullfrog Spa Model 662 to accommodate their large family and allow them to all use the spa at the same time. Bullfrog Spas are powered by JetPaks which are moveable massage stations that will offer each family member a unique and personal hot tub experience.

The total volunteer effort was inspirational. We were invited by RJ Moreau Builders to provide the Voisines with a special place they could spend quality time together. Bullfrog Spas International partnered with us to help make this dream a reality; at the end of the day, it’s about the experience.

This is better than going away on vacation, Casey Voisine said. Just being able to relax as a family and not have to worry is great.

In an effort to make the best use of limited backyard space, the spa was actually installed on the third floor deck with a sixty foot crane as many people watched the process with interest. An optional Bose Spa & Yard Stereo was included so the Voisines, who are avid sports fans, can listen to ballgames from their rooftop luxury box of warm, swirling water.
