2008 New England Spring Flower Show
March 8 – 16, 2008
Bayside Expo Center, Boston
It turns out that “being green” isn’t that tough after all! With a few tips and tweaks, we can all enjoy sustainable, eco-friendly gardens. And “green” doesn’t have to mean dull and practical – this year we’ll show the cutting edge, sensual and colorful side of responsible gardening.
An annual rite of spring and one of Boston’s most enduring traditions, the New England Spring Flower Show has become the true symbol of spring’s arrival for almost 100,000 winter-weary New Englanders and Boston visitors. The show is now in its 137th year and has grown to be the third largest flower show in the world. The region’s most talented gardeners, designers and horticulturalists gather for nine days of breathtakingly beautiful exhibits, competitions, entertainment and information-sharing.

The Bayside Expo Center is located just one mile south of downtown Boston with plenty of parking ($12 fee per car).
From the South
Take Exit 14 from I-93, the Southeast Expressway. Stay in the right hand lane and follow Morrissey Boulevard. At your 3rd set of lights take a right onto Mount Vernon Street. Follow the signs and take your 3rd left into the Bayside Expo Main Entrance.
From the North and the West
From points North and/or West take the Massachusetts Turnpike, Interstate-90 east to Interstate 93 South. Take Exit 15 (Columbia Road/UMass Exit) off of Interstate 93. Stay in the left-hand lane and take a left off of the ramp. Go ¾ of the way around the Rotary and bear right onto Day Blvd. Proceed past the Mass State Police Barracks and take your first right into the Bayside Expo North Entrance.
Transit
As a convenient alternative, take the T or Commuter Rail. The MBTA Red Line and Old Colony (Plymouth/Kingston and Middleboro/Lakeville) Branch of the commuter rail system both stop at the UMass/JFK station directly across the street from us. A trolley will make continuous loops between the station and the South Entrance of the Bayside Expo Center.
Handicapped Parking & Wheelchairs
Bayside Expo Center has handicapped parking spaces available at both the North and South Entrances to the show. You are welcome to drop off passengers at either entrance. Wheelchairs will be available to borrow at the South Lobby on a first-come, first-served basis.
